This map is of the Old World and measures 62x56, for a total of 3472 tiles. I designed it so it would be playable into the
late game at reasonable speeds even on slower machine (i.e. 512 MB RAM). It gives both the familiarity of a world map
and the enjoyability of a small map while retaining decent geography. Rather than feature the civilizations in their
actual starting locations, it has eight civilizations spread out so as to be more balanced and to utilize most of the land. |
