Im new to GameFlood

hi to anybody out there, im new to GameFlood and would like to get some tips on how to start out.

If you have HL2 on your machine, put together a mash up, and get a couple of friends on board to play with you. If you don't have HL2, then check out the other content (COD2, CS:S, BF2) and find the stuff you like the most. Download and play: Its free. If you find a "scheduled game" playing right now, you can download whichever map or mod is playing, and sign in to the game right now (click on Join Game, GameFlood does the rest).

Continue to post in the forums as well, and get to know some of the other members. Then you can build mashups and invite them in, or anyone else for that matter. Welcome to GF, btw!

You need a program to download files from GF, it will ask, do you want to download it, when/if you click the download button under a ...file

Ya. I am also new to gameflood from Turbo Squid, and I was wondering how the Battlefield 2 mod downloader worked. For the Oblivion one, it automatically takes it to the C:/Program Files/Bethesda/Oblivion/Data folder, but what happens for Battlefield 2? When I boot up BF2, where does the new map (for example), appear? How can I enable/disable mods? Etc. This is probably the wrong forum, but like I said, I am new.

Hey wyvern642,
The maps that you download for BF2 are kept here, (if installed to the default location):
C:\Program Files\EA Games\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\Levels
Each map has its own folder in that directory.

Mods are kept here:
C:\Program Files\EA Games\Battlefield 2\mods

To start a game with a mod enabled all you have to do is click the play button from our website. The GameFlood Download Manager will then download, install, and launch BF2 with the mod enabled.
